Use custom fields as columns on the features board

What is the challenge?

• The features board supports custom fields for grouping rows, but not columns. Teams that organize work using a custom field, cannot display those values as column headings instead of standard releases or workflow statuses.

What is the impact?

• When teams do not plan around the release record type, teams must adapt to a board layout that does not match how they plan work. This makes it harder to see which items belong to each planning group and reduces the board’s usefulness for day-to-day planning.

Describe your idea.

• Allow users to select a custom field to define columns on the features board in Aha! Roadmaps. Each field value would become a column heading, with matching records displayed beneath it. Users would be able to drag records between columns to update the custom field value, providing a visual way to organize and adjust plans.
