Ability to edit link properties in the same way as documents

What is the challenge?

Clicking a link record opens its destination in a new tab instead of displaying its record details. Unlike a note, there is no equivalent way to access its status and other document options.

What is the impact?

Teams cannot manage link records through the same workflow as notes, making it harder to track their review status and keep documentation organized consistently. There is a workaround where users can edit this information through list reports so it does seem intended that links can have different statuses and such applied.

How should it work?

Allow users to open a link record’s details and manage its status and other applicable properties, just as they would for a note. Keep a separate option to open the destination URL so users can choose between managing the record and visiting the linked content.
