Manage a global list of ideas categories

What is the challenge?

We have two dedicated ideas workspaces, one for our external customers Ideas and one for our internal company / VIPs "Requests". These workspaces need to share the same category list, but we have to maintain those categories in each workspace.

Now, we would like to take advantage of the recently launched Ideas Board. However, Group by Category doesn't work properly, because Aha doesn't recognize the two category lists as being the same - it duplicates each category. (See screenshot.)

What is the impact?

It's more work to maintain our common category list, because we have to do it in multiple workspaces.

We can't view all our ideas (from both workspaces) grouped together by category.

Describe your idea

Manage ideas categories at the Account level, just like workflows and custom layouts. Add a Workspace configuration setting under Ideas to select the desired Ideas Category list (again, just like choosing what workflow or layout to use).
