Reduce creation of duplicate accounts across Roadmaps and Idea portals

What is the challenge?

Today if a team has multiple email aliases for their users there is no easy way to stop the creation of duplicate accounts across Roadmaps and Idea portals.

What is the impact?

A single person may have an Aha! account and a portal user account.

Describe your idea

When SSO is setup for Aha! accounts and portals, before creating a new portal user do a check on the NameID attribute.

If the user's NameID attribute already exists, add the additional email as an alias to the existing account and have the user use their Roadmaps login.

This is quite an issue with our organization. Specifically, we have run into permission logic issues where the same user has a portal account and also Aha reviewer permissions. If a user (idea submitter) logs into the workspace or Aha, the browser logic / cacheing etc will defer to the Aha permissions and will prevent them from accessing the idea for edits in the portal etc. Overall, there should be some kind of reconciliation logic that makes the experience less confusing for a user working in both environments.
