Ability to collapse sections of the text editor

When working on lengthy proposal or documentation, it would be nice if you could collapse certain sections of the text editor to keep the description cleaner. My use case is when presenting an analysis — but I don't want ever table showing at all times. That way, as you move through the document, you can expand to see details if you want to.

    Hi,

I would expand (pun intended) on this idea..

    • The below refers to the integration with jira, but i feel the need here is even more basic

    • The expand / collapse of sections is very basic requirement for any text editor. Without it, lengthy documents , which are part the PM day to day is a must.

      • For example, if I write a PRD using the Aha documents, and cannot add expand / collapse sections, the PRD becomes a very lengthy document, and editing it becomes hard to manage.

    • So my request (whether as part of this idea or as a new idea) is to include in the document edit toolbar, the option to use the headers as expand/collpase controllers.

We've noticed issues with the Jira expand macro when syncing with Aha. Specifically:

    • When we add an expand macro in Jira, it appears as plain text in Aha—likely because Aha doesn't support Jira macros.

    • If we update the expand content in Aha, the changes don't sync back to Jira.

    • When the expand macro is edited in Jira, it overwrites any previous content from Aha.

    • About 10 minutes later, Aha! strips out the macro formatting entirely in Jira, leaving only plain text.

    • Eventually, Aha also removes the text from the expand section.

This creates confusion and data loss between the two platforms. We'd really appreciate better support for Jira macros or a more consistent sync experience.

Often I write notes which are relevant to multiple audiences. Having a <spoiler> / <detail> tag would let me specify more technical content and make it opt-in for the reader. That way I could include more technical content but avoid ov...
