Write Operations for Aha! Roadmaps MCP Connector

What is the challenge?

• Current State:
  The Aha! Roadmaps MCP integration currently supports read-only operations — search, record retrieval, and report generation. While useful, this limits Claude’s ability to act as a true workflow assistant within Aha!.
  Gap Identified:
  During a live workflow session, I attempted to use Claude to promote an idea to an existing initiative in our Aha! environment. Claude was able to retrieve the idea and confirm its status, but could not complete the action because no write/update endpoints are exposed through the MCP connector.

What is the impact?

• For teams managing product and portfolio roadmaps in regulated environments, the ability to take action — not just retrieve data — dramatically increases the value of the Claude integration. These write capabilities would enable Claude to serve as a true AI assistant for product operations workflows.

• Please consider adding write operation support to the Aha! MCP connector, specifically:
  ∙ Link/promote an idea to an initiative, epic, or feature
  ∙ Update idea workflow status (e.g., move from In Discovery to Under Review)
  ∙ Associate ideas with goals, themes, or releases
  ∙ Update custom fields on ideas and features
  ∙ Create comments or notes on records
