What is the challenge? |
For dashboards, reports and more, users often need to temporarily focus on a single selection without losing their broader context. In our multi-select dropdown, there's currently no fast way to isolate one item while preserving other selections. |

What is the impact? |
For dashboards, or reusable templates it's very tedious to de-select all the users then select one user, then re-select all the users again. |
Describe your idea |
In the Selected Items section of the dropdown, we introduce a quick action icon button with a label at the top for "Quick filter." (Label may not be needed for MLP) This allows users to temporarily switch the dropdown from multi-select to single-user focus without losing all their prior user selections. |
