Individual Reviewer Permissions for Knowledge Sites

What is the challenge?

Cannot set different individual permission levels for users within the same permission group on Knowledge documents. When workspace document access is set to "Edit" for one group of Reviewers, all Reviewers inherit edit permissions, preventing granular control for users who should only be able to comment.

What is the impact?

Teams with mixed collaboration needs cannot efficiently manage document workflows. Must choose between giving all reviewers edit access (security risk) or complex workarounds

Describe your idea

Enable individual permission settings which overrides default permission settings, allowing workspace-level defaults while maintaining user-specific restrictions. This would let users set workspace document access to "Edit" while restricting specific Reviewer users to "View + Comment" only, supporting mixed collaboration workflows within the same permission type group.
