Have Ranks Update When Filters Are Applied

What is the challenge?

If I have features ranked 1,2,3,4,5 and then I apply a filter which removes/hides features ranked 2 and 3, then my list will say 1,4,5 when I would want it to be 1,2,3

What is the impact?

In order to update reports, we update the rank to a field. The numeric value ends up being incorrect relative to how it appears visually in the priorities screen hence making the reports displaying unintuitive values. This requires either manually changing the value or not using filters that were recently added.

Describe your idea

When adding filters to priorities, I would like ranks to update. We like to use filters because it automatically removes features/ideas that should not be displayed like shipped features or features that may have been erroneously added in the past. While we can use the "Remove Shipped Idea/requests button" using filters is preferable if we want it to be automatic.
