Add "Consider voting for one of these similar ideas" ability in Aha Ideas itself

When using a Ideas portal as I type an idea, a real-time search is performed that will present similar ideas, prompted with "Consider voting for one of these similar ideas". This is great. However when I add from within Ideas itself (not the Ideas portal), this doesn't occur. It would be great to implement this same capability so no matter where I submit the new idea, I get this ability.
We currently use the portal but only for internal folks at the moment. This caused some angst with commenting (folks would inadvertently use portal comments or internal comments, leading to concerns about visibility). We considered removing the portal until we consider opening it up to external organizations like customers and just have our folks operate within Ideas. But this would remove the "Consider voting for one of these similar ideas" capability.

Hello Aha team,
Is there any plan to expose the same “related ideas” function to the Ideas Module – new idea interface?
A version of this exists in the “merge ideas” feature also. It would be nice if this was consistent across all these features, as they are used by different user groups and helps to give visibility to existing data and avoid duplication.
Add new idea (portal) - Exists - GREAT
Merge idea (similar but searches across other portals, which makes sense for this use case but not exactly what we need)
Add new idea (ideas module) – no lookup feature – please enhance
