Thank you for the idea! I can see how the ability to expand and collapse would be helpful on the custom roadmap.
The bars on the roadmap can be sorted by date by going to ⚙️ Edit data, then clicking the 'Sort fields' link next to 'Shown on bars'. Let me now if that works for you.
Big +1. Being able to collapse swim lames similar to the default 'Strategy' roadmap would be invaluable in the custom roadmap view.
Also, the 'Strategy' roadmap properly displays epic bars in chronological order, whereas the 'Custom' roadmap only shows them in alphabetical order, which defeats the whole purpose of a gantt-style view.
